4/19/12 Invitations Are In The Mail!

It’s happened. Spring has arrived with its multicolored array of crocuses, daffodils and tulips. Suddenly lilacs are in full bloom, robins are frantically nesting, and the dandelions seem to be multiplying exponentially! Every year, the earth gets a fresh new start. Soon it will be time to plant something in your garden and Vital Voices is here to help.

Invitations to our 8th Annual Garden Party, along with those spring flower seeds you were waiting for, are in the mail. When you receive your invite we hope you will plant the seeds and remember those living with mental illness and substance use disorders when the little green seedlings begin to pop up by returning the RSVP in the envelope provided along with your donation.

The seeds are free, but Vital Voices needs your help in continuing our mission to advocate for the 14,000 people in Milwaukee County who use these mental health and substance use recovery services. Everyone deserves a fresh start now and again – just like the fallow earth after a long hard winter. By advocating for quality in the administration of these programs, our clients get that fresh start, and we cannot do it without you.

We greatly appreciate our long-standing supporters. If you’re not one of them you can become one by getting on our mailing list right away. You will receive (at no cost) our semiannual newsletter, updates on coming events, and an opportunity to contribute to this vital mission. Please call us at (414) 771-4368, email vitalvoices@sbcglobal.net, or “like” us on Facebook. Go ahead – celebrate spring and give generously!
